The W.I.L.D. Machine

Here we get our first glimpse at the Wake Initiated Lucid Dream Machine, which is a homemade time “copy machine” created from two vocal booths which have been converted into half isolation tanks, half-test tubes.

The Lab

This is where Lex and Cal spend most of their time. From the various audio equipment, microphone, guitar, keyboards, amps and cables snaking from room to room, most musicians would feel right at home here.

Science of Time Sampling

Vodnar gives a few mores detail how Time Sampling works with the W.I.L.D. Machine. They need an artifact to act as a key to wherever they want to end up. However the process isn’t an exact science (if you couldn’t tell by the DIY look of everything).

Buy the Ticket, Take the Ride

Here we can see the personalities and influences of Lex and Cal starting to develop. Cal quotes a line from Timothy Leary to indicate he’s at peace with whatever comes (and as a nod to counter culture influences of the comic).
